Reducing Friction on older Nautilus Machines

These are the areas that can be addressed to reduce the amount of friction on a chain driven Nautilus machine.  Please call me for replacement parts and additional advise.  It's free.

  • Weight Stacks
    • Remove and clean each plate (I like to use 70% Isopropyl alcohol)
    • Replace top weight bushings
    • Install bottom weight bushing (Call me for details)
  • Guide Rods
    • Make sure that they are straight
    • Clean with rubbing alcohol or degreaser
    • Lubricate with TFL-50 after everything is re-assembled
  • Chain
    • Inspect and either clean and re-lubricate or replace
  • Sprockets
    • Remove and clean the bushing or bearing
    • Inspect all of the teeth.  Replace if worn
  • Shoulder Bolts
    • Remove, clean, and lubricate (multi purpose grease, but not too much)
